REGUMATE EQUINE

Presentation

A clear, pale yellow, odourless, vegetable oil solution for oral administration, containing the synthetic progestagen allyl trenbolone.

Each ml contains 2.2 mg allyl trenbolone.

Uses
  • Early in the breeding season, in mares with some follicular activity, to induce an ovulatory oestrus and/or to induce normal cyclical ovarian activity.

  • Follicular development may be accelerated by artificially increasing the daylight hours prior to the commencement of the breeding season.

  • Treatment of the mare in lactation anoestrus in the absence of a corpus luteum.

  • Suppression of oestrus,  either during prolonged oestrus or in normally cycling mares.

  • To control the cycle  of breeding mares to allow efficient use of the  stallion.

Dosage and administration
  1. Early in the breeding season in mares with some degree of follicular development: 12.5 ml should be administered in the feed each day for 10  consecutive days.

  2. Treatment of the mare in lactation anoestrus in the absence of a corpus      luteum: 12.5 ml should be administered in the feed each day for 10      consecutive days.

  3. Supression of oestrus:

  • prolonged oestrus - 12.5 ml should be administered in the feed each day for 10 consecutive days.

  • Cycling mares - these should receive 12.5 ml in the feed each day for 15 consecutive days.

  1. To control the oestrus cycle of cycling mares. Commencing the treatment of      each mare on consecutive days will allow mares to return to oestrus over a controlled period of time, thus enabling optimal use of the stallion.

12.5 ml should be administered in the feed each day for 15 consecutive days.

Note for all regimes

Regumate is for oral administration only and should be added to the mares feed, at a single feeding per day.

The majority of mares will return to oestrus within 8 days after the last oral administration of Regumate and will ovulate 7 -13 days after treatment.
